TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last Updated: 13 June 2025

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all quotations, orders, supply, delivery and installation services provided by Jireh Design & Trading (“Jireh Design & Trading”, “we”, “us” or “our”) to the customer (“Customer”, “you” or “your”).

By accepting our quotation, making payment, confirming an order or allowing installation works to commence, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms.

1. QUOTATION & ORDER CONFIRMATION

1.1 All quotations are based on the information, measurements, product selection and scope of work available at the time the quotation is prepared.

1.2 Unless otherwise stated on the quotation, quotations are valid for 14 days.

1.3 A quotation is not considered a confirmed order until the required deposit has been received and the order has been accepted by Jireh Flooring.

1.4 Any additional works, materials, labour or services not expressly stated in the quotation will be charged separately.

1.5 Changes requested by the Customer after order confirmation may result in additional charges and/or delays.

1.6 Once flooring materials have been ordered, allocated or purchased for the Customer, cancellation or changes may not be permitted.

2. PAYMENT

2.1 A 50% deposit is required to confirm the order.

2.2 The remaining 50% balance shall be payable according to the payment terms stated in the quotation or invoice.

2.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the outstanding balance shall become due upon completion of the agreed installation works.

2.4 Payment shall be made using the payment methods accepted by Jireh Flooring.

2.5 The Customer shall not withhold or delay payment because of unrelated issues, minor cosmetic differences, pending rectification of non-material items, or matters that do not prevent reasonable use of the flooring.

2.6 Where an undisputed payment remains unpaid after its due date, Jireh Flooring may:

(a) issue a written payment reminder or demand;

(b) suspend any outstanding works, services or warranty-related services until payment is received;

(c) charge reasonable additional costs arising from the Customer's payment default, where legally recoverable; and

(d) commence appropriate legal proceedings to recover the outstanding amount.

2.7 Any legal action, court or tribunal proceedings and recovery of costs shall be subject to applicable Singapore law and the rules and limits of the relevant court or tribunal.

2.8 The Customer remains responsible for the outstanding amount even where the Customer has raised a separate complaint or requested an inspection, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law.

3. CANCELLATION & DEPOSIT

3.1 The 50% deposit is non-refundable once the order has been confirmed.

3.2 This includes circumstances where flooring materials have already been ordered, allocated, purchased or prepared for the Customer.

3.3 Any cancellation request must be made in writing.

3.4 Where Jireh Flooring agrees to a refund in exceptional circumstances, any refund will be considered at our discretion and may be subject to deduction of costs already incurred.

3.5 Special-order, imported or customised products may be subject to additional cancellation restrictions.

4. SUPPLY & INSTALLATION

4.1 Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, Jireh Flooring's service includes:

Supply of the agreed flooring material and installation of the flooring.

4.2 The exact scope of installation shall be based on the quotation accepted by the Customer.

4.3 Works not specifically included in the quotation are excluded and may be subject to additional charges.

4.4 Installation dates provided by Jireh Flooring are estimates unless a specific installation date has been expressly confirmed in writing.

4.5 Installation may be postponed where site conditions, access restrictions, building management requirements, safety concerns or other circumstances prevent reasonable completion of the works.

5. FLOOR PREPARATION & ADDITIONAL WORKS

5.1 Floor preparation works are not automatically included in the flooring price.

5.2 Additional works may include, but are not limited to:

  • floor levelling;

  • hacking and removal of existing flooring;

  • disposal of existing materials;

  • removal or installation of skirting;

  • door base cutting;

  • door adjustment;

  • substrate preparation;

  • repair of unsuitable or damaged surfaces;

  • moisture treatment; and

  • other preparatory or remedial works.

5.3 Where such works are required, the applicable charges will be stated in the quotation whenever reasonably identifiable before commencement.

5.4 Where unforeseen site conditions are discovered after work has commenced, additional work may be recommended and charged separately.

5.5 Jireh Flooring will not be responsible for damage to doors, door frames, skirting, walls or other existing structures arising from door base cutting, hacking, removal, adjustment or other necessary works, except to the extent that such damage results from our proven negligence or failure to exercise reasonable care.

6. EXISTING FLOOR & SUBSTRATE

6.1 The Customer acknowledges that existing flooring, tiles, screed, concrete or other substrate beneath the new flooring may have pre-existing defects, movement, hollowness, weakness or deterioration.

6.2 Jireh Flooring is not responsible for defects or movement originating from the existing substrate which are not caused by our installation works.

6.3 In particular, if existing tiles or other underlying materials beneath our flooring subsequently pop, crack, shift, become hollow or fail due to natural movement, substrate conditions, structural movement or other causes unrelated to our workmanship, such issues are not covered by our warranty.

6.4 Any remedial works required because of such underlying conditions may incur additional charges.

7. MEASUREMENTS & WASTAGE

7.1 Jireh Flooring's service staff will carry out reasonable site measurements for the purpose of estimating the required flooring quantity and installation requirements.

7.2 Reasonable allowance for cutting and installation wastage will be included in the quantity calculation where applicable.

7.3 The final quantity required may be affected by actual site conditions, room shape, layout, cutting requirements, installation direction and other factors.

7.4 The Customer acknowledges that flooring is a manufactured product and that some material may be required for cutting, trimming or installation purposes.

8. DELIVERY & ACCESS

8.1 Standard delivery charges are included in the total quoted price unless otherwise stated.

8.2 Additional charges may apply where unusual or difficult site access is involved.

8.3 Examples of access-related charges may include situations where:

  • there is no usable lift;

  • materials must be carried up stairs;

  • building management restricts lift or loading access;

  • access requires additional manpower;

  • multiple trips are required; or

  • other unusual handling requirements arise.

8.4 Where applicable, stair-carrying or other access charges may be calculated according to the number of floors or staircases and will be communicated to the Customer.

8.5 Jireh Flooring reserves the right to determine whether an access condition constitutes an additional-cost situation.

9. CUSTOMER'S FURNITURE, WALLS, SKIRTING & APPLIANCES

9.1 Customers should remove personal belongings and, where reasonably possible, furniture and other movable items before installation.

9.2 Our installers will take reasonable care when working around existing furniture, walls, skirting, appliances and other items.

9.3 However, Jireh Flooring shall not be responsible for pre-existing damage, weakness, deterioration or accidental damage to:

  • furniture;

  • walls;

  • existing skirting;

  • appliances;

  • cabinets;

  • doors;

  • fixtures; or

  • other existing property,

except to the extent caused by our proven negligence or wilful misconduct.

9.4 Customers are responsible for securing or removing fragile, valuable or sensitive items before installation.

9.5 Where furniture or other objects remain in the work area, installation may be affected and additional handling charges may apply.

10. COLOUR, SHADE & BATCH VARIATION

10.1 Flooring displayed on our website, social media, brochures, photographs or digital materials may appear slightly different from the actual product due to screen settings, photography, lighting and other environmental conditions.

10.2 Actual flooring may also vary slightly from physical samples due to manufacturing batches.

10.3 Such differences may include minor variation in:

  • colour;

  • shade;

  • brightness;

  • tone;

  • texture; and

  • appearance.

10.4 Minor colour or shade variation that falls within normal manufacturing variation shall not be considered a product defect.

11. GRAIN, PATTERN & PLANK VARIATION

11.1 Customers acknowledge that flooring products may contain natural-looking or printed variations in grain, knots, patterns and markings.

11.2 Individual planks or tiles may not have identical grain patterns or markings.

11.3 The grain direction, knots, pattern density, colour distribution and markings may differ from one plank or tile to another.

11.4 Flooring will not be considered defective merely because neighbouring planks or tiles do not have identical grain or pattern characteristics.

11.5 Where the product is designed to replicate natural timber, such variation is part of the intended appearance of the product.

12. INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE

12.1 The Customer is encouraged to inspect the flooring following completion of installation.

12.2 Any visible installation issue or apparent product defect should be reported to Jireh Flooring promptly after installation.

12.3 Reports may be submitted through:

WhatsApp Customer Service
or
the Customer Contact Form

12.4 Jireh Flooring may arrange an inspection to determine whether the issue relates to product quality, installation workmanship, existing substrate conditions, misuse or another cause.

12.5 Minor variations in colour, grain, pattern, texture or appearance which are inherent to the product shall not be considered installation defects.

13. WARRANTY

13.1 Material Warranty

Jireh Flooring provides a 10-year warranty on flooring material, subject to the product's intended use and applicable warranty conditions.

13.2 Workmanship Warranty

Jireh Flooring provides a 1-year workmanship warranty covering defects directly attributable to our installation workmanship.

13.3 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover issues arising from:

(a) existing tiles, screed, concrete or substrate conditions;

(b) natural structural or substrate movement;

(c) existing tiles beneath our flooring popping, cracking, shifting or failing due to causes unrelated to our workmanship;

(d) flooding, excessive moisture or water damage;

(e) improper cleaning or maintenance;

(f) misuse, abuse or accidental damage;

(g) heavy impact or dragging of furniture;

(h) unauthorised modifications or repairs;

(i) normal wear and tear;

(j) natural or manufacturing variation in colour, grain, pattern or texture; or

(k) circumstances outside Jireh Flooring's reasonable control.

13.4 Warranty claims may require photographs, proof of purchase and/or an on-site inspection.

13.5 Where a valid defect is established, Jireh Flooring may, at its reasonable discretion, repair, replace the affected material or rectify the affected workmanship.

13.6 Warranty remedies do not automatically include replacement of the entire floor where the issue is limited to a particular area or component.

14. POSTPONEMENT & RESCHEDULING

14.1 Customers are required to provide reasonable notice when requesting postponement or rescheduling of installation.

14.2 Rescheduling or postponement charges may apply at Jireh Design & Trading discretion, particularly where manpower, transportation, installation slots or other costs have already been committed.

14.3 Repeated postponements may require a new installation date and may be subject to additional charges.

14.4 Jireh Flooring is not responsible for delays caused by the Customer, building management, lack of access, incomplete preparation, other contractors or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

15. AFTER-SALES SERVICE & RECTIFICATION

15.1 Where a Customer reports an issue, Jireh Flooring will review the complaint and may arrange an inspection.

15.2 Where an issue is determined to be covered by the applicable warranty or our agreed scope of work, reasonable rectification will be carried out.

15.3 Rectification work will be limited to the affected issue and does not automatically entitle the Customer to a full replacement or refund.

15.4 Where an issue is determined to be unrelated to our workmanship or product warranty, any inspection, repair, replacement or remedial works may be chargeable.

16. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING

16.1 Jireh Flooring may request permission from Customers to photograph completed flooring installations.

16.2 With the Customer's permission, photographs may be used for:

  • website content;

  • social media;

  • advertisements;

  • marketing materials;

  • portfolios; and

  • other promotional purposes.

16.3 Jireh Flooring will make reasonable efforts not to intentionally publish sensitive personal information visible within photographs.

17. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

17.1 The Customer must provide accurate information relating to the property, installation area, access conditions and any known site restrictions.

17.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that Jireh Flooring and its installers have reasonable access to the site at the agreed time.

17.3 The Customer must inform Jireh Flooring of any known building management requirements, renovation restrictions or access limitations before installation.

17.4 The Customer is responsible for obtaining any approvals required by the building management, landlord or relevant authority unless otherwise agreed.

18. UNFORESEEN SITE CONDITIONS

18.1 Jireh Flooring cannot reasonably identify every underlying condition before flooring is removed or installation begins.

18.2 If unforeseen conditions are discovered, including uneven surfaces, damaged substrate, moisture, hollow tiles, hidden defects or unsuitable surfaces, additional work may be required.

18.3 Jireh Flooring will inform the Customer where reasonably practicable before carrying out chargeable additional work.

18.4 Additional charges may apply for such works.

19. FORCE MAJEURE

19.1 Jireh Flooring shall not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

19.2 Such circumstances may include supplier delays, material shortages, transport disruptions, severe weather, building restrictions, government requirements, fire, flooding, labour shortages or other unforeseen events.

20. LIABILITY

20.1 Jireh Flooring will exercise reasonable care in carrying out installation works.

20.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Singapore law.

20.3 Subject to applicable law, Jireh Flooring will not be responsible for losses arising from pre-existing conditions, substrate movement, Customer-provided materials, unauthorised modifications, misuse or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

21. DISPUTES

21.1 Customers should first contact Jireh Flooring to allow the matter to be reviewed and, where appropriate, rectified.

21.2 Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, either party may pursue any remedy available under Singapore law.

21.3 Depending on the nature and value of the dispute, a claim may be capable of being brought before the Small Claims Tribunals or the appropriate court. The Singapore Courts state that contracts for the provision of services, including renovation services, and certain goods claims may fall within the Small Claims Tribunals' jurisdiction, subject to applicable requirements and monetary limits.

21.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

22. SEVERABILITY

22.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.

23. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

23.1 The accepted quotation, invoice and these Terms constitute the agreement between Jireh Flooring and the Customer in relation to the relevant order, subject to any specific written terms expressly agreed between the parties.

23.2 Where a specific written quotation or agreement conflicts with these Terms, the specific written quotation or agreement shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

24. CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

By accepting the quotation, paying the deposit, confirming the order or allowing installation works to commence, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
